For the statistics savvy, the India vs England series opener is the 2000th Test match in the history of the game.

The India vs England first Test also happens to be the 100th Test between the two teams.

And if Sachin manages to score a hundred, the historic venue will also become witness to another milestone in Sachin Tendulkar's 100th international century.
