For the band Maroon 5 at the Hollywood Bowl, fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks performed a duet with Adam Levine on Monday night. The pair sang the 1981 hit “Leather and Lace,” a song Nicks originally recorded with Don Henley.
Levine’s admiration and adoration of Nicks was clear; he said, “This is one of those moments where you don’t actually realize what you’re doing until you do it. What I’d like to do is sing this next song with one of my favorite artists of all time, and I’m sure one of yours too, God, do I love this woman.”
Levine, 32, a coach on the reality television series, “The Voice,” often voiced his appreciation of Nicks on the show.
Nicks, 63, had written the song for Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, it was actually released on “Bella Donna,” her 1981 debut solo album. “Bella Donna” sold 8 million albums.
