Gabrielle Giffords Picture since was shot are released

The release on her Facebook page of the first photos of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords since she was shot in the head brought an outpouring of emotion and support on Sunday.

Within hours of the two photos being posted, there were nearly 3,000 'Likes' and more than 1,000 comments.

Among the words of encouragement were: 'It is great to see the healing and smiling. Prayers have been sent your way many times.'
Another fan wrote: 'Blessings, Gabrielle! I hope you feel as good as you look!'

'You are an inspiration! You're making incredible progress. I'm behind you 110% in spirit, support and hope, one wrote.

'What a Great American you are! Forward, full speed... Never look back, another added.
